Members and their families spent the day together at One Leisure Park in Gapyeong, trading the city for a riverside pavilion, a shared meal, and an afternoon on the water.
On 9 August 2026, members of NIDO South Korea and their families swapped the everyday for a day by the water, gathering at One Leisure Park in Gapyeong for a community picnic outing.
Under the pavilion
The group settled into a thatch-roofed pavilion overlooking the river, tables filling quickly with coolers, snacks and plates passed hand to hand. Between bites, children sipped drinks and swapped seats while the adults caught up — easy, unhurried company with the hills rising green across the water and boats drifting past the deck.
Life vests on, ready for the water
Once the tables were cleared, attention turned to the water. Life jackets and helmets went on — required gear at the park's floating water play area — and the group queued at the entrance before heading out onto the reservoir.
Out on the reservoir
The afternoon's biggest thrills came on the water: members took turns on inflatable tow-tubes, holding on tight as the ride kicked up spray, while others explored the floating water park's obstacle course and pedal boats further out. Laughter carried across the water as splashes flew and the group cheered each other on.
It was a simple, joyful day out — good food, good company, and a shared afternoon outdoors. More photos from the day are in the gallery below.
